Macintosh Mill, Manchester

We had walked past this place countless times and never bothered, we had even crossed the site to go dinghying down the Medlock in January.

From previous photographs I have seen of the site it was much larger and at least half of the original site has been converted into apartments/office space.
I assume most of the people who are now living in the converted parts of the mill have no idea they are living in something that played a huge part in the history of rubber and vulcanisation.
Visited with the usual suspects.
